Right so it looks like a big fat No and I’m kinda glad that the Irish showed the rest of Europe that we can think for ourselves.
When you think logically about it, it was always going to be a No considering how confused people were. I see the No result as a protest by the Irish people at being so confused and annoyed by the whole thing. The Lisbon Treaty is something that was impossible to vote on. Abortion, Divorce, who is your favorite politician, these are all tangible things you can easily adopt a position on but there were too many grey areas in this treaty to simply say Yes or No. If we had 3 options Yes, No and Don’t Know, the Don’t Know’s would have won a landslide!
On the other hand, hands up who has a creeping feeling that we might just have shot ourselves in the foot!!??

We Europeans out of Ireland we haven’t the right to vote.
We haven’t any chance to say our opinion about this treaty.

Irish people gave us a sign of Hope and Freedom.

Leon, Allready they are lying saying Ireland are the only Country against it …Holland and France at totally against it too.. but that decision was taken away from them.so if they lying now….whats it gonna be like when they have total power!!.. We did europe proud ..for once we didnt listen to the main parties Bull.And ur comment bout shooting outselves in the foot !! Isn’t it better to be shot in One foot than Both !! think bout it..and by the way .I am not involved in any Political Parties , rarely vote but this time I felt I had to..Im Just an Irish Mom and Gran .
